FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the WICE Calendar/Appointments

Find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) for the Calendar module of WICE CRM.

How can I transfer my calendar dates from other calendars?

To synchronize your appointments from other calendars you need the WICE plugin vCard / iCal. Within the plugin you will find an explanation of how you can transfer your appointments, for example from your Outlook or Google Calendar.

Can I also create recurring appointments?

Yes, if you activate the check box "Recurring event" while entering a new appointment you will see a dialog after saving the appointment to define the details of the recurring appointment.

I can no longer see all appointments in the calendar?

First, you should check the settings in the drop-down menu above the calendar and see which options are chosen here. If you have selected in the left menu, "List all" and in the menu next the empty selection "---" and you still not see all the dates, then it is probably related to the rights settings in the Administration. As with addresses, there are also settings for the "owner of this entry" and this is how access can be controlled on the appointments. Ask your administrator, to which user groups your user is assigned - he might need to change the settings.

I can not enter new appointments

Then you probably have no the required user rights. To add a new appointment you have click on the desired day/date and then you will see the page to add a new appointment. Check with you administrator if you have the necessary user rights.

Can I hide dates for other employees, such as for private appointments?

Yes, while adding a new appointment activate the check box "Entry not readable by other users (private appointment)" to mark an appointment as private.

Can I also can remind me of an appointment?

Yes, you have to select the method for your reminder at the "Alarm" pull-down menu when entering a new appointment. You can choose to be reminded via Email or Message Pop-up or via SMS, but this last option only works when you have the WICE-Fax.de Plugin installed and activated. By setting the time you decide when your reminder will be send to you.

Can I add To-do`s or reminders to the calendar?

No, reminders and to-do items can not be managed via the calendar. To-do`s can be managed as ticket notes with holdfiles in a ticket or address note. These To-do`s will then appear in your Dashboard in the hold files tab.

How can I create a visiting report for an appointment?

First, select the appointment where you want to add the visiting report and then click on the appointment to open the details - here you´ll have to click on the visiting report icon which you find left of the edit icon to add a new visiting report. Please note that only if the appointment was created out ot a ticket note you`ll have the option to add a visiting report for this appointment.

Can I create new appointment categories or change the colors assigned to these categories?

Yes, that is possible. You will need access to the administration, however, because all categories are managed there. There, you can also create new or modify existing appointment categories and also change the color assignment.
